X Premium price (October 2026) and how to cancel

Updated · CancelCost
Applies to: X (formerly Twitter) consumer subscriptions in the US: Basic, Premium, Premium+ and related Grok-linked tiers billed by X on the web or by Apple/Google in the apps.
View official X Premium help →Opens an official site in a new tab. Check the destination before signing in.

In the US (as of 2026-10-18), X does not publish one stable public dollar table that matches every checkout path - web and App Store prices differ, and tier names have changed. Confirm the exact amount on the X Premium checkout or App Store product page before you pay. To cancel, open X Settings → Premium (or Subscriptions) and manage the plan, or cancel in Apple/Google Subscriptions if the store bills you.

Uninstalling the X app does not cancel. Access typically continues until the end of the paid period once auto-renew is off - confirm the end date on the manage screen.

If your bank statement shows APPLE.COM/BILL or Google Play, cancel in that store even if you also use x.com.

How to cancel X Premium

If X bills you

  1. Open X and go to Settings and privacy.
  2. Open Premium (or Subscriptions / manage Premium).
  3. Choose cancel / turn off auto-renew and confirm.
  4. Note the end date shown.

If Apple bills you

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap X.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial), then confirm.

If Google Play bills you

  1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon (top right).
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
  3. Select X.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription, pick a reason and confirm.

How to confirm it worked

You're done when:

  • X or the store shows Premium ending / not renewing.
  • No new X Premium (or store) charge posts after that date.

Confirm the end date on the manage screen.

Common problems

  • Only signed out or deleted the app. Billing continues.
  • Cancelled a creator subscription instead of Premium. Those are separate products.
  • Assumed an old blog price. Always re-read checkout.

What we checked

Verified approach (October 18, 2026): cancel-where-billed via X Settings / Apple / Google; no invented list prices because web vs App Store figures conflicted in public listings.

Not verified - left out: third-party price tables and older Basic $3 / Premium $8 / Premium+ $40 blog figures that did not match App Store SKUs we sampled.

Checkmarks and ads

Paid features (checkmark eligibility, ad load, Grok limits) drop when the paid period ends - not always the minute you tap cancel.

Grok / SuperGrok

If you bought an AI add-on under a different product name, cancel that product on the same biller that charged it.

Does deleting the app cancel Premium?
