HCP Terraform price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), HashiCorp pricing lists HCP Terraform Free (up to 500 managed resources) and paid tiers starting about $0.10/resource/month on Essentials (~$0.47 Standard, ~$0.99 Premium framing, billed hourly). Cancel / downgrade in HCP organization Settings → Billing (HCP Terraform Docs).
Destroying one workspace does not cancel the paid plan alone.
Organization owner required. IBM/HashiCorp branding may appear on invoices.

How to cancel HCP Terraform
In organization billing
- Sign in as an organization owner.
- Open Settings → Billing (HCP portal or Terraform Cloud).
- Downgrade to Free / cancel paid subscription and confirm.
- Destroy unused workspaces/resources first if you only want to shrink cost.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Plan shows Free / canceled.
- No new HCP Terraform charge posts after that.

- Non-owner tried to cancel. Need permissions.
