GitHub Copilot price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), GitHub Docs list Copilot Pro at $10 USD/month, Pro+ at $39 USD/month, Max at $100 USD/month, Business at $19 USD per granted seat/month, and Enterprise at $39 USD per granted seat/month (Plans for GitHub Copilot). To cancel a personal paid plan, open Settings → Billing & licensing → Licensing, open Manage subscription under GitHub Copilot, and click Cancel subscription (Viewing and changing your Copilot plan).
You keep paid features until the billing cycle ends, then move to Copilot Free. Org/enterprise seats cannot be cancelled by the member—ask an owner, or disable Copilot in your environment.
If you cannot sign in to the billed personal account, use GitHub account recovery or contact GitHub Support per the cancel docs.

How to cancel GitHub Copilot
Cancel Pro, Pro+ or Max on GitHub.com
- Click your profile photo → Settings.
- Under Access, open Billing & licensing → Licensing (or Plans and usage).
- In GitHub Copilot, open Manage subscription → Cancel subscription.
- Confirm Cancel Copilot Pro / Pro+ / Max for end of the current billing cycle.
If an organisation gives you a seat
- You cannot cancel the org plan yourself—ask an owner to remove the seat or disable Copilot.
- Or disable Copilot in your local environment per GitHub Docs.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Billing shows the personal plan ending at cycle end (then Copilot Free).
- No new personal Copilot charge posts after that date.
