Square price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Square pricing lists Free $0/location/mo (pay processing only), Plus $49/location/mo, and Premium $149/location/mo, with lower card rates on paid tiers. Cancel in Dashboard → Settings → Account & Settings → Pricing & subscriptions → Manage → Unsubscribe (Manage Square subscriptions).
Closing the POS app does not cancel Plus/Premium.
30-day trials on Plus/Premium common. Processing fees continue on Free after software cancel.

How to cancel Square Plus or Premium
Dashboard unsubscribe
- Sign in to Square Dashboard.
- Go to Settings → Account & Settings → Pricing & subscriptions.
- Find the paid plan → Manage → Unsubscribe.
- Confirm; paid features last through the current cycle if downgrading.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Pricing & subscriptions shows Free / unsubscribed.
- No new Square software subscription charge posts.

- Only signed out of POS. Software renews.
- Wrong location. Other locations still billed.
- Confused Stripe invoice. Different vendor.
