Nintendo Switch Online price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Nintendo's membership pricing table lists Individual $3.99/month, $7.99/3 months, or $19.99/year; Expansion Pack Individual $49.99/year; Family $34.99/year; and Expansion Pack Family $79.99/year. Cancel by turning off automatic renewal at least 48 hours before the membership ends on the console eShop or at accounts.nintendo.com (Nintendo Support: cancel).
Turning off auto-renew keeps online play and other benefits until the paid term ends. Deleting games or factory-resetting a Switch does not cancel the membership.
NSO renews on the Nintendo Account that bought it - not on every console signed in. Cancel on that account.

On the web
- Sign in at accounts.nintendo.com.
- Open Nintendo Switch Online.
- Choose Cancel Your Pass by Turning Off Auto-Renewal and confirm.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Nintendo Account / eShop shows automatic renewal off and an end date.
- No new Nintendo Switch Online charge posts after that date.

Common problems
- Only deleted a game or the user profile. Membership stays on the Nintendo Account.
- Cancelled under 48 hours before expiry. Nintendo asks for at least 48 hours.
- Family member cancelled instead of the purchaser. Only the buying account controls Family auto-renew.
- Expected a mid-cycle refund. Turning off auto-renew usually keeps access until the paid term ends.

Standard vs Expansion Pack
Expansion Pack adds more Nintendo Classics libraries, select DLC (for example Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass) and Switch 2 extras such as GameCube Classics where offered.
Family plans
One purchase covers up to eight Nintendo Accounts - cheaper per person if you fill the group.
