PlayStation Plus price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), PlayStation Plus costs $10.99/month or $79.99/year (Essential), $16.99/month or $134.99/year (Extra), and $19.99/month or $159.99/year (Premium); 3-month plans are also listed (PlayStation Plus). To cancel on the web, sign in to Account Management, select Subscription, then select Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus (PlayStation Support: How to cancel PlayStation Plus).
You keep PlayStation Plus benefits until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling stops future payments; PlayStation Plus Usage Terms say you do not get a refund for payments already made.
PlayStation Support's cancel button is Cancel Subscription (not only "turn off auto-renew"). You can Reactivate Subscription before the next payment date if you change your mind.

How to cancel PlayStation Plus
On a web browser
- Sign in to Account Management.
- Select Subscription from the left menu.
- Select Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.
On a PS5
- Go to Settings > Users and Accounts.
- Select Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions > PlayStation Plus.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
On a PS4
- Go to PlayStation Plus > Manage Membership > Subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Subscription Management shows PlayStation Plus will end on the next payment date (or will not renew).
- You keep benefits until that date.
- You are not charged on the next payment date.
If you change your mind, PlayStation Support says you can select Reactivate Subscription before the next payment date (PlayStation Support).
Common problems
- You only signed out or deleted games. That does not cancel. Use Cancel Subscription.
- You expected a refund for unused days. Usage Terms: cancelling stops future payments but does not refund payments already made (Usage Terms).
- Monthly games stopped after the period ended. Expected - claimed monthly games and catalog titles need an active membership to play (PlayStation Support).

Not verified - left out: sale or promo prices; the store concept page also showed a $9.99 Essential monthly fee in older product copy while the live Plus page cards showed $10.99 - we used the Plus membership page cards.
What you lose when the period ends
PlayStation Support: after the subscription ends you lose monthly games, online storage and online multiplayer access. Content downloaded at no cost as part of the subscription is no longer available; redeemed packs/avatars and discounted purchases you bought are yours to keep (PlayStation Support).
Change plan instead of cancelling
To switch tiers: Account Management > Subscription > Change Plan (or the matching console path). Downgrades take effect on the next payment date (PlayStation Support).
