Descript price (October 2026) and how to cancel
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), Descript's pricing page lists Hobbyist at $24/person/month (or $16 billed yearly), Creator $35/$24, and Business $65/$50, with media hours and AI credits per plan. Cancel by downgrading the drive to Free in App Settings → Plan (Descript Help: cancel).
Paid access continues through the current cycle. Each drive bills separately. Uninstalling the app does not cancel.
Pick the correct Drive before you downgrade - one account can own multiple billed drives.

How to cancel Descript
In Descript Plan settings
- Sign in at web.descript.com or the desktop app.
- Open App Settings (Cmd/Ctrl + ,) and select the billed Drive.
- Go to Plan → Change plan → Downgrade to Free.
- Confirm Cancel subscription.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Plan shows Free after the current cycle.
- No new Descript drive charge posts after that.
