Student subscription discounts (Spotify, Apple Music, Disney+/Hulu & more)
In the US (as of 2026-10-18), several services sell verified student plans: Spotify Premium Student is $6.99/month (with Hulu With Ads when eligible) (Spotify Student), and the Disney+/Hulu student bundle is $6.49/month while verification holds (Disney+ student offer). To keep a student rate, re-verify when the brand emails you; if verification fails, the plan usually converts to the full-price plan at renewal—cancel or switch plans first if you do not want that charge (see each brand’s student page).
Use only official student pages (linked below). Dollar figures for Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, Adobe and Microsoft 365 Personal student offers are omitted here where the help/landing pages did not publish a stable US list price in our check.
Student SKUs are still subscriptions: cancel on the same platform that bills you (merchant, Apple or Google Play).

How to claim and keep a student plan
Before you subscribe
- Open the brand’s official student page (links in Sources)—skip third-party coupon blogs.
- Have school email / ID ready for SheerID, UNiDAYS or the brand’s verifier.
- Note who will bill you (merchant, Apple or Google)—that is where you cancel later.
After approval
- Screenshot confirmation and the renewal price shown at checkout.
- Add a calendar reminder for annual re-verification.
- If you graduate or leave school, cancel or switch plans before the full-price renewal.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- The official student page or account shows the student plan as active.
- You know the re-verification date and who bills you.
- You are not also paying a duplicate full-price plan for the same service.
Common problems
- Missed re-verification. Apple: student plan renews as Individual if you do not reverify (Apple Support). Spotify: lose Student eligibility if you cannot re-verify (Spotify Student). Disney+/Hulu: rolls to full-price ads bundle (Disney+ student).
- School not on SheerID list. YouTube and Spotify say you are not eligible if the school is missing from the verifier form.
- Expected Netflix student pricing. Netflix Help plans page does not offer a student SKU—use standard plans only.

Graduation / failed re-verify
Treat the re-verify email as a billing deadline. If you will not qualify, cancel or change plan on the billing platform before renewal so you are not charged the full rate (Apple; Spotify; Disney+; Microsoft).
Pick one music student plan
Do not stack Spotify Student and Apple Music Student unless you truly use both—each is a separate subscription.
