Older Protect Basic/Plus names map to Solo/Multi in Ring's 2026 rename. Cancel on ring.com → Plan → select the plan → Confirm cancellation (Ring: Canceling your Ring plan).
Benefits continue until the billing period ends; Ring states recorded videos are lost after cancel unless you download them first. Uninstalling the Ring app does not cancel.
Download any recordings you need before the plan ends - Ring warns cloud video history is not restored after cancel.

How to cancel Ring Protect
On ring.com
- Sign in at ring.com.
- Optional but important: download recordings you want to keep.
- Select Plan in the top menu.
- Select the plan to cancel and confirm cancellation.
- Note the end date - features continue until then.
If Amazon bills you
- Cancel the Ring / Protect subscription in Amazon's subscription management instead.
How to confirm it worked
You're done when:
- Plan page shows the subscription ending / not renewing.
- No new Ring Protect charge posts after that date.

Common problems
- Only deleted the Ring app. Billing continues.
- Cancelled without downloading videos. Cloud history is not restored later.
